Verb Classification – Must watch !

A Verb is word which says about Noun or Pronoun. Or which show an action or state of being .
Example – Run, Play, Go etc.

There are Two Kind of Verb :

Finite Verb : The Verb which change verbs change their form according to Subject and Tense is called Finite Verb.
Ex – Ram eats, They eat, They have eaten etc.

Non- Finite Verb : The Verb which does not change their form according to Subject and Tense is called Non-Finite Verb.
Ex- Ram like to play, They like to play etc.

There are two kind of Finite verb :

Main Verb (Principal Verb) –  The Verb used alone or together which helping verb are called Main Verb. 
Ex – Ram goes, Sita writes etc.

Auxiliary Verb (Helping Verb) – The Verb which helps the main verb to form tense, voice, mood is called Auxiliary verb.
Ex – is, are, am, was, were, has, have, had, do, does, did, shall, should, can, could, will, would, may, might, must, ought to , need, dare, used to .

There are two kind of Main Verb : 

Transitive Verb : The verb used with an object is called Transitive Verb.
Ex- I ran the show, Let’s eat Pizza etc.
Intransitive Verb : The verb used without an object is called an Intransitive Verb.
Ex- I ran, Let’s eat, she is walking there etc.

There are three kind of Auxiliary Verb :

Primarily Auxiliary Verb : is, are, am, been, being, was, were, has, have, had, do, does, did , Is called Primarily Helping Verb.

Modal Auxiliary Verb : Can, Could, Will, Would, Shall, Should, May, Might, Must, Ought to, is called Modal Helping Verb.

Marginal Modal Auxiliary Verb : Need, Dare, Used to, is called Marginal Modal Helping Verb. 

There are three Kind of Non- Finite Verb.

Infinitive : The main form of verb is called Infinitive Verb. 
Ex – Run, Play, Go, Come etc.

Gerund : When Verb + ing form used as Noun that is called Gerund . 
Ex- Reading is my hobby, I like reading poetry, etc.
 
Participal : A Participal is a word which is partly a verb and partly an Adjective.
Ex- Ram has a smiling face, Hearing the noise. etc.

There are two kinds of Infinitive Verb : 

To – Infinitive – to go, to read, to run, to write, such that called To- Infinitive.

Bare – Infinitive – can, could, may, might, shall, should, will, would, must, need, and dare are used with bare- infinitive.

There are three kind of Participal Verb :

Present Participal : The form of verb ending with (ing) is called Present Participal 
Ex- Running, Selling, Buying, Dancing etc.

Past Participal : The form of verb ending with (d,  ed,  t,  en, ) is called Past Participal.
Ex – Indeed, Dead, Sent, Bend etc.

Perfect Participal : The joined form of Third form verb Using having is called Perfect Participal.
Ex- having finished his work, having delivered the message etc.
