MEANS OF TRANSPORT 

Means of transportation is any of the different kinds of transport facilities used for

 moving peoples and goods from one place to the other. The means of 

transportation is interchangeably used with the mode of transport.

The means of Transport are Car, Train, Aeroplane, Bus, Truck, Ship etc. while

the mode of transportation is Road, Air, Water

1. Ambulance                                  

A special vehicle for taking ill or injured people to and from hospital

बीमार या दुर्घटनाग्रस्‍त व्‍यक्तियों को ले जाने वाला वाहन; रोगी-वाहन, एम्‍बुलेंस

2. Cycle                                            

A vehicle with two wheels, which you sit on and ride by moving your legs

दो पहियोंवाली गाड़ी जिसपर बैठ कर पैरों की सहायता से चलाया जाता है; साइकिल

3. Bus                                               

A big public vehicle which takes passengers along a fixed route and stops regularly to let people get on and off

निर्धारित मार्ग पर चलने तथा नियमित अंतराल पर लोगों के चढ़ने उतरने के लिए रुकनेवाली एक बड़ी सार्वजनिक गाड़ी, बस

4. Train                                             

A type of transport that is pulled by an engine along a railway line. A train is divided into sections for people (carriages and coaches) and for goods (wagons)

रेलगाड़ी (जिसमें सवारियों के लिए डिब्‍बे और कोच होते हैं और माल ढोने के लिए वैगन)

5. Aeroplane                                     

A vehicle that can fly through the air, to move people to one place to another through air ways with wings and one or more engines. 

एक वाहन जो हवा में उड़ सकता है पंखो और एक या अधिक इंजनों के साथ ा 

6. Fire Truck / Lory                          

Fire Truck is a road vehicle that functions as a firefighting apparatus, it include transporting firefighters and water to an incident as well as carrying equipment for firefighting operations.

फायर ट्रक एक सड़क वाहन है जो अग्रसमाक उपकरण के रूप में कार्य करता है ा

Submarine a type of ship that can travel under the water as well as on the surface.

Ship is a large boat used for carrying passengers or cargo by the way of sea.

9. Ferry                                             

Ferry is a boat that carries people, vehicles or goods across a river or across a narrow part of the sea.

सवारियों, वाहनों आदि को नदी या समुद्र के संकरे भाग के पार पहुँचाने के काम में आने वाली नौका

10. Cargo                                        

Cargo consists of bulk goods conveyed by water, air, or land.

विमान या जलपोत द्वारा ढोया जाने वाला माल; जहाज़ी माल, नौभार, कार्गो l 

11. Taxi                                            

Taxi is a car with a driver whose job is to take you somewhere in exchange for money.

कहीं जाने के लिए ड्राइवर-सहित भाड़े पर मिलने वाली कार; टैक्‍सी

Tram is a type of bus that works by electricity and that moves along special rails in the road.

A yacht is a sailing or power vessel used for pleasure, cruising, or racing

Boat is  a small vehicle that is used for travelling across water.

Tuck is like a section of a train that is used for carrying goods or animals.

सामान या पशु ले जाने वाले रेलगाड़ी के डिब्‍बे जैसा वाहन l

A large vehicle that is used on farms for pulling heavy pieces of machinery.

Metro trains are run by electricity and they are types of high-capacity transport system found in metropolitan cities.

मेट्रो ट्रैन बिजली से चलती है और वे महानगरीय शहरों में पायी जानी वाली उच्चय क्षमता वाली वाहन है l 

19. Bullet Train                                

Bullet Train is a high-speed passenger train.

21. Auto-Rickshaw                           

A covered motor vehicle that has three wheels, a driver’s seat in front and a long seat for passengers at the back

आवृत तिपहिया वाहन, जिसमें चालक आगे बैठता है और सवारियाँ लंबी सीट पर पीछे बैठती हैं; ऑटोरिक्‍शा

22. Bullock-Cart                              

A bullock cart  is a two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicle pulled by one or two oxen.

बैलगाड़ी बैलो द्वारा खींचा जाने वाला दो या चार पहियों वाला वाहन l 

23. E-Rickshaw                                

E-Rickshaw are small vehicles, with three wheels and use electric power from batteries to run. 

इ- रिक्शा छोटा वाहन होता है, जिसमे तीन पहिये होते है और चलाने के लिए बिजली का उपयोग करते है l

A van is a type of road vehicle used for transporting goods or people.

Bike is a two-wheeled vehicle that is powered by a motor and has no pedals.
